WHERE: Anderson, Indiana
Anderson is located in east-central Indiana, 26 mi. north-east of Indianapolis via Interstate I-69 (exit #26) -OR- 17 miles north of I-70 via S.R. 109 (exit #115).
The host hotel will once again be the Clarion Inn (formerly Holiday Inn), 5920 Scatterfield Rd., phone 765-644-2581.1-866-782-9987
The hotel is located on the N-E corner of I-69 & Scatterfield Rd. (Exit #26).
The reservation code is ARM. The room rates will remain the same as in 2007 ($60 per night).
IMPORTANT! The block of rooms reserved for the 1/33rd Armor will release as of 5/24/08. Any room NOT reserved will fall back into their inventory and ANY RESERVATION MADE AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE REGULAR RATE & AVAILABILITY!!
The Historical Military Armor Museum is located at 2330 Crystal St. in Anderson, Indiana, 765-649-8265. Directions from the Garden Hotel to the Museum are listed below in the links section. (Photo on pg. #2.)
Attention Campers! If you plan on camping, we recommend the Timberline Campground located in Chesterfield, In.
To receive your discount, you MUST let them know upon checking in that you are attending the 1/33rd Bn. reunion. No discounts given after check-in!! (Link below).
Our 2007 reunion had over 70 former 1/33rd Armor alumni attending. This is over double the number attending the 2006 reunion!!

Unfortunately, like everything else, costs have gone up. The reservation fee for the 2008 reunion will be $40.00 per person. This will include your museum admission, Saturday lunch & Saturday evening Buffet Dinner & DJ.

Farewell to the 1/33rd Armor
According to the January 2006 "Soldiers
Almanac", 1-33 CAV is part of the 3rd
Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division.
Although designated CAV, they still wear the 33rd unit crest (Distinctive Unit Insignia - DUI).
There is no longer any 1-33 Armor and there are no other 33rd Armored battalions in the active Army force.
According to the November-December 2005 issue of "Armor," there are no 33rd Armored battalions in the Active Army, National Guard, or the Army Reserve.
